Callie Young is tired of living out of a suitcase. Looking for a safe place to land, she finds herself in the small town of Tempest, where the homes look like doll houses, and the men look a lot like G.I. Joe. Men like Blake Price. When Mr Tall, dark and lickable, stumbles across Callie on a dark, stormy night, the spark between them is enough to cause an inferno. She’s never been one to play with fire, but when that fire comes in a six-foot, smoking-hot package, it’s impossible to resist the flames, even at the risk of getting burned. As the owner of Price Security, Blake has no time for anything other than work and his team. He’s never felt the need to get in deep with a woman before, not when that requires ripping open old scars and letting his secrets bleed out. Until now. With a foul-mouthed grandmother playing matchmaker and a bunch of a-hole teammates ready to step in and steal his girl, Blake’s ready to throw Callie over his shoulder and drag her home, caveman style—consequences be damned. But when a seemingly innocent chain of events puts Callie back in the crosshairs of the evil she ran from, Blake realizes he isn’t the only one keeping secrets. And though his are tragic, Callie’s secrets could turn out to be deadly. Author’s note: Cautious was previously released as part of a shared world project. It has been revamped, re-edited and has a fancy new cover. In this version of Cautious, the names of people and places may have changed along with the setting and timeline. The backstories are more fleshed out, and as this is now book one in a brand new series, it introduces characters who will soon be getting their own stories. The bones of this book are still the same, the story is just a little girthier than before. Author’s part Cautious (and the rest of the Tempest Series) is set in the same world as my Underestimated series. However, only Cautious slips into the Underestimated timeline; the rest will run parallel to the same world stories. Tempest Series can be read as a complete stand-alone book/series, but if you’d like to read it in conjunction with the other books set in this world, I’ve included the reading order The Queen Of CarnageThe Princess Of ChaosRicochetCautiousThe Reign of KingsThe Heir of ShadowsThe Crown of FoolsThe Mercy of DemonsTainted OathsTwisted VowsToxic WhispersDulceReeseThe Throne of LiesLollieSugarThe Brutal StrikeThe Harsh BiteThe Echo of ViolenceThe Wicked StingThe Lethal TouchRest In PiecesThe Good girl
