Sinead MacDougal’s day started just like any other; with a brisk run in the still quiet streets of New York City before the morning rush hour. As the head of the Department of Antiquities for the Metropolitan Museum, Sinead is excited to get to the Cloister branch to log in new manuscripts that had been acquired. The prospect of delving into the ancient treasures dating back to the fourteenth century filled Sinead with added energy to carry her through her run on this cold December morning. Christmas was in the air and something else, too. This day was sometimes marked as the Winter Solstice and though Sinead did not give it much thought, the atmosphere was charged with the Spirit of hope and anticipation. Not only that, Sinead could smell that snow was in the air and what better way to spend her time than being cozied up in the big castle of the Cloister museum, delving into the pages of the past. As snow begins to fall, Sinead is drawn into the story of a man who lived and died nearly 700 years ago. The tragic events that led to his death were wrought with treachery and Sinead wished that somehow she could have stopped the turn of events that brought about Jamie MacCollum’s untimely demise. One must be very careful about making Christmas wishes during the Winter Solstice lest they be granted. Sinead finds herself transported to the very spot where the dangerous battle was to claim the life of Jamie MacCollum. Her warning changed history as Jamie was spared. Though he does not trust the woman who mysteriously appeared before the deadly ambush, Jamie cannot resist the lure of the stranger who had come to save him. Travel through time with Sinead MacDougal in Celtic Blizzard, which is a stand-alone prequel to the Celtic Storm Series.

Ria Cantrell
Author · 7 books

Ria Cantrell lives with her English rock star husband on the sunny shores of Southwest Florida. When she is not writing, Ria is busy singing and performing with her husband in local venues. She is a classically trained vocalist with a specialty in baroque and early music, but she can “rock” out with the best of them. Her dreams came true when she met her husband Paul in 2010 after speaking to him via internet for nearly three years. They married in May, 2012. Ria would say that their love story was as good as the fictional ones you read and in fact, she may tell it in one of her upcoming books. Ria has always been drawn to the distant past and so it seemed only fitting that Celtic Fury was set on a medieval stage. She began writing at a very young age and one would rarely find her without her trusted notebook scribbling her romantic musings. She hopes you enjoy the Celtic Saga with the Clan MacCollum at the forefront. Look for her prequel, Celtic Tempest, which should be completed by February. Celtic Traveler, is already in the works where the present, past and future collide.
