In Victoria's London, English aristocrat Edward 'Charlie' Decharles wakes up in the back of a steam-cab with a hangover, and a murdered driver. Australian music-hall performer 'The Amazing' Gladys Dunchurch finds that the stage magician she works for has vanished - and not in a good way.
