Chloe, Brynn and Phoebe are half-sisters who argue the way only sisters can. But they have something way bigger to worry about than family squabbles, especially Chloe. She's terrified that the sweater she left at the scene of a crime - a crime she didn't commit - will make it look like she's guilty. What will happen when Levesque - a homicide cop who is dating the girls' mother - gives Chloe the third degree? First published more than a decade ago as The Stepfather Game, this is the novel that introduced readers to Chloe Yan and told how she first met Levesque.

Over the Edge
2000
The death of a boy at Chloe’s high school looks like an accident... until Chloe discovers that he was blackmailing several other students. Was it accident—or murder? Chloe’s job as a newshound for her high school paper helps her uncover some startling truths. First, it looks like Daria, the school’s high-profile poet, might have plagiarized some of her award-winning poems. And then it appears that Peter, the writer of the paper’s astronomy column—a boy recently found dead from an accidental fall over a cliff—was blackmailing Daria. And she wasn’t the only one.

The trouble is, the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to danger.

Scared to Death
2001
When Tessa’s body is discovered floating in Elder Pond, Chloe’s shock soon turns to guilt. If only she had paid more attention to what was bothering Tessa, instead of brushing her off. Then some key bits of evidence help her put the puzzle together, until all she needs is the last piece. But now that Chloe’s almost sure “whodunit”. . . her own life is on the line. 2003
When Caleb Drake comes home from prison, nobody in town wants him back. Nobody except Chloe, who has seen the smile that Terri - the young woman that Caleb supposedly hurt - gives him. Chloe is sure that Caleb didn't do it. The trouble is, how is she going to prove it? Caleb himself is no help at all - in fact, he gets into more scrapes with the law. So it looks like it's up to Chloe to prove his innocence. The fifth book in the acclaimed Chloe and Levesque series, featuring the smart talking sleuth with attitude to spare.

Not a Trace
2005
The latest book in the Chloe and Levesque series, with the dramatic new series look. Chloe has a kind of grudging respect for David Mitchell, even though he appears to have a spring-loaded temper, so when he's charged with the murder of Trevor Blake, she can't decide whether he's guilty or not. Mitchell is definitely the likeliest suspect - he fought with Blake on the main street of East Hastings just before the murder - but then some of the clues at the scene of the crime just don't add up. Not a Trace will include a sneak peak at the new Robyn Hunter series, coming from Norah McClintock in 2006!
