Misty Spain discovers a little ragamuffin peddling jewelry in back of the restaurant where she waits tables. Misty instantly takes the child into her heart, along with a blond haired blue eyed police officer named Erik, who wanders in for a cup of coffee. Little Miss Ragamuffin teeters precariously on the edge of disaster as Misty and Erik fight the judicial system, and each other, to intervene.
