The tenth Western adventure in a series from C. Wayne Winkle! Clint Earley and Solomon Hughes head into Nevada to help Marshal Denton Mayes track down Billy Caldwell, a killer and leader of a gang. The gang terrorized northern California for a while, then left to find an outlaw town. Griffen’s Gulch has no law. Whoever is the meanest outlaw there at the time sets the rules. Caldwell plans to take it over. After Mayes is attacked and left near dead, Earley and Hughes take over the job of stopping him. The only trouble is, there are probably some outlaws there who would recognize Earley. That would lead to Earley dancing at the end of a rope. Through a series of problems, Earley and Hughes get to Griffen’s Gulch, but face the likelihood of being discovered. Thanks to the help of a deputy marshal working undercover, they escape only to find out Caldwell is headed to Earley’s cabin. Can Earley and Hughes get to the cabin in time to save Nina and the new baby, Cassie Grace?
