Joe Copp has a problem. It seems that during the three weeks he's been out of it with partial amnesia, he married one Martha Kaufman—who's turned up dead. Now the cops are trying to pin the murder on Joe, and someone's trying to kill him. At the edge of insanity, he's a man at war with his mind.
