By any measure, I have led a full and (at times) exciting life after traveling extensively throughout my career. Born and raised in the U.K., I left school at 16 and went to sea as an officer cadet in the merchant navy. After 14 years, I obtained a Captain’s license, foreign-going, unlimited tonnage. (Certified to command any ship, anywhere of any size). I left the sea to get married and pursue a new chapter on the beach in America, where I reside today. I have worked as an Operations Manager and a Project Director managing projects all over the World. Happily married for 40 years, my wife and I have two exceptional children who live reasonably close to us here in Texas. I retired in 2019 and have since pursued my lifelong passion for reading and writing. This book is my fifth, and the first four books are all published on Amazon Kindle Direct. I am an avid motorcyclist and was a licensed Department of Public Safety instructor. I love sports and have yet to watch one that didn’t interest me (maybe curling?). Formula 1, motorcycle racing, and golf have to be at the top of the pile, along with soccer and baseball. Then, of course, I love reading and writing books. Other interests include chess, music, and practicing French, which I am somewhat proficient in. I attended college in Liverpool, England, where I studied nautical science and rounded out my formal education in 2006 when I attended M.I.T.’s prestigious Project & Engineering Academy, graduating in 2008. I have been to too many countries to count in my travels. I love science fiction and fantasy books, and I am also a sucker for a good thriller.
