Two hundred years ago, our nation was destroyed by the goddess of light and the Luminark Empire. We have made great advances since my coronation. With my ascendant queens by my side, we’ve risen from a group of starving refugees to a true nation. But to defeat the empire and to liberate our people still held as slaves, we need power. We need an army of ascendant champions. The key to that power is an ancient artifact, revealed to me by the goddess of night in a vision of the past. We must set out for Nightbound, the old capital of Duskhaven. Ghouls, monsters, and Luminark inquisitors stand in our way, but we shall overcome them and bring Duskhaven to glory once again.

To end an empire, I must do the impossible. Since my arrival in Turmont, I have risen as the Dark Lord of a defeated kingdom. With the power of a god and my four magically empowered queens, we have begun to rebuild our tortured kingdom. But our work isn't done. Many of our people remain enslaved, and we must shatter their bonds and break their captors. When a magical accident sends me behind enemy lines, I must seize the opportunity. I will destroy the Luminark Empire and liberate our people, no matter the cost.
