When Batgirl and Robin are invited to a Halloween party, they discover a black cat made of rare diamonds has been stolen from the party, and they must discover if one of the masked guests is the cat burglar.

In the dead of winter, fear is spreading through GOTHAM like a flu virus. Hundreds of residents have gone mad with fright, and dozens more are affected each day. Fortunately, BATMAN and his teenage partner, BATGIRL, are on this medical case. And soon, the root of the problem is revealed. SCARECROW, the DARK KNIGHT'S most frightful foe, has taken over a dentist's chair, and is gassing patients with his evil fear toxin. If he isn't stopped soon, the entire city could be scared to death!

It's fall in GOTHAM CITY. The air is getting colder, the leaves are changing color, and the people are . . . turning into monsters! These evil creatures are taking over the city, and the problem appears to be spreading. Luckily, BATMAN and his teenage crime-fighting partner, ROBIN, are investigating. Soon, they trace this monster mess back to the GOTHAM CITY CLINIC. Apparently, the evil HUGO STRANGE has been posing as a physician and turning his patients into troublesome terrors. The DYNAMIC DUO must work together to stop the creature chaos and put this monster medic out of business.

When BATMAN learns about a school for aspiring villains, he sends ROBIN to find out who's in charge. While undercover, the BOY WONDER discovers that the mysterious headmistress is none other than . . . CATWOMAN! The DYNAMIC DUO must find a way to take down this feline felon before her students graduate to full-time crooks.

HARLEY QUINN has captured ROBIN! But this crazy quack is only using the BOY WONDER as bait. Her true target is BATMAN, and she's left clues all over GOTHAM to lure him into her trap. If the DYNAMIC DUO can't escape her clutches, they'll both become HARLEY'S gift to her evil boyfriend, the JOKER.

Junior high school student TIM DRAKE is tired of being a hero-in-training. He's ready to become the full-time sidekick of BATMAN, GOTHAM'S GREATEST CRIME FIGHTER. The DARK KNIGHT, however, has one final test for his anxious apprentice, and it won't be easy.
