They shouldn't even like each other, let alone fall in love. Caleb Jennings is an actor, and Kennedy Farlow hates actors. They're too emotional, too flaky, and way too egotistical. Caleb is the perfect example. Is he stupidly sexy and disarmingly charming? Sure. But he's also aimless now that his soap opera character has been killed off, and while he's an exceptionally eager intern, a thirty-year-old intern is hardly appealing to this career-minded pragmatist. He's also clearly delusional with his crazy quest to find his one true love. Still, a woman has needs and there's no denying the sparks between them whenever reason takes a back seat to desire. So maybe a short-term arrangement makes sense until they find appropriate partners. After all, this is only temporary. Caleb is all for a temporary arrangement. He might be holding out for his dream woman, but that doesn't mean he has to live like a monk in the meantime. Being with Kennedy is a safe diversion while he waits for destiny to step in. It's obvious that she's not his true love any more than he fits her strict criteria for the perfect boyfriend. The only problem is, the longer they're together the harder it is to remember that she's not for him. It's not possible that his dream girlfriend is the same woman who's currently in his bed... is it?
