Ginger hides her deep frustration with a self-deprecating attitude and sassy remarks. Snarkiness has become her default response to life, and it isn’t serving her well. Ginger admits she’s plus-sized, but that doesn’t mean she’s unattractive. She needs a guy who doesn’t mind a curvy girl. Finding the occasional date isn’t easy in a small town, but her friends seem to enjoy the challenge of setting her up. Enter the newest addition to the young adult small group. Ginger’s friends think he’d be perfect for her, but he’s not her type. His lack of style is nothing like her flare for fashion, and his quiet demeanor and nerdiness directly oppose her extroverted personality. He’s polite and doesn’t make her feel like her weight is an issue, but there are no sparks. Ginger wants more for her future than a guy who accepts her despite her flaws.
