Lily is a new baker at Paws-N-Pastries, and she has her eye on Jellybean, the newest cat to be welcomed to the refuge there. Like Jellybean, Lily doesn’t have a family to love, and she really wants a companion. While she’s thinking about bringing the kitty home with her, Lily decides to take part in some local events to learn more about the people in town and who they are. She volunteers to work at the local Easter Egg Hunt at the high school and gets to know Evan Rogers, a single dad with captivating eyes and an adorable little girl. A week before the Easter Egg Hunt Lily finds out some awful news. Someone has covered the high school football field with cement. Was it an act of rivalry against the football team or a ruse to stop the children from having fun on Easter? Lily tries to figure out who it was and get some unexpected help from Miss Louise, One-Eyed Willie, and Jellybean, the calico kitty Lily wants to adopt. Can they solve the mystery and find a new place to host the egg hunt in time to save Easter?
