
El Eterno Emperador gobierna Akidavia durante mil años antes de morir para renacer de nuevo. Pero también es la historia de Kelan, un muchacho criado en un remoto rincón de Akidavia, cuya vida cambia de golpe el día en que decide desafiar a la autoridad local. Laura Gallego García is a Spanish author of fantasy and children's books. She studied Spanish Philology at the University of Valencia, and is currently working on her doctoral thesis. Her first novel, at the age of 21, was published because she won the Barco de Vapor literature prize and still is one of her most recognizable works: Finis Mundi. After that, her now stablished literary career began. Finis Mundi was followed, chronologically, by (only mentioning the ones that achieved notable popularity)the ''Crónicas de la Torre'' saga, ''The Legend of the Wandering King'', ''Memories of Idhún'' saga, ''La Emperatriz de los Etéreos'' and the ''Alas Negras'' saga. From all of them, her most popular and internationally recognized work has been the Memorias de Idhún saga. Formed by three books, written between 2004 and 2006, the story (pure fantasy genre) centers in the three main characters: Victoria, Jack and Christian; and the world of Idhún. Dragons, unicorns, magic, prophecies and everything your imagination can lead you to. The saga of Idhún and most of her works have been published to numerous languagues such as English, French, German, Italian, Hungarian, Greek, Portuguese, Corean, Polish, Swedish, Finish, Danish, Rumanian, Turkish... She loves manga comics. Her favourite book of all time is ''The Neverending Story'', though she enjoys reading as well authors such as Tolkien, Weis, Peter Beagle and Coehlo. Currently she combines being a mother and enjoying her family life with the realization of her thesis. She finished this year her last novel, ''Donde los árboles cantan'' (Where the trees sing), which will be published in October 2011.
