Eleanor Henrietta Hull was educated at educated at Alexandra College and the Royal College of Science, Dublin. She was secretary of the Royal Asiatic Society, founded the Irish Text Society, president of the Irish Literary Society of London, and a member of the Council of the Folklore Society.
