Part of Series
In Amish Circle Letters, follow the journey of a series of letters that pass through the Fisher family. As Amish do not use computers or cell phones to communicate, Amish women will often write circle letters, letters that they send to a list of addresses of people that they would like to include in the correspondence. Since they do not have access to photocopiers, the first person on the list will receive the letter, read it, and respond. That person sends both the first letter and their response to the second name on the list. This continues until the entire package of letters goes full-circle, returning to the original sender. In Volume 8 of the 10 part series, Ella's Letter, Steve wants to surprise Mimi by showing off his new horse and buggy, especially since he hasn't seen in in a while. What he doesn't foresee is that Mimi has a surprise of her own in store for him, one that catches him off-guard. Mary Ruth is trying her best to avoid Menno after his unexpected question a few weeks earlier. Unfortunately, Menno has other plans and, the more she tries to avoid him, the more she begins to see a different side of Menno Yoder. Katie continues to be on her best behavior so that she can visit her pony on Saturdays and see Melvin. Their friendship is fast becoming one that, for Melvin, is making him wonder if soul-mates can be found at such a young age. While leaning on Mary Ruth for advice, she finds her answers to Melvin create even more questions for herself and her future.
