X sätt att dö

X Ways to Die continues the tense, multi-stranded story which begun with Motive X. It is at once an explosive, high-voltage thriller and a fearless exploration of the darkest side of human nature. To enter Stefan Ahnhem's world, with its interwoven plotlines and sprawling cast of characters, is to put yourself in the hands of a master storyteller. REVIEWS FOR STEFAN AHNHEM: 'Atmospheric and complicated ... With great cop characters and some imaginatively grisly perps' Sunday Times (star pick). 'More gripping than Jo Nesbo, blacker than Stieg Larsson and more bleakly human than Henning Mankell' Tony Parsons. 'Epic in scale and ambition' Daily Mail. 'An intense journey, with an intricate plot ... Ahnhem has mastered atmosphere, pacing and intrigue' Crime Review. 'Masterly plotting, grisly murders and chilling suspense: Stefan Ahnhem keeps the threads of this complex, two-country narrative pulled tense' Better Reading.

”As a kid, I never dreamt of being a writer. Putting letters in the right order to form words did not come easily to me. In school, while the rest of my class had Swedish lessons, a strange-smelling lady would pull me out of the classroom to play with wooden blocks painted with colourful letters. For as long as I can remember, however, I have been a passionate storyteller. Growing up as an only child undoubtedly sparked my creativity, and all the hours spent playing by myself fed my vivid imagination. My grandfather’s rocking chair was a marvellous spacecraft able to transport me to all the planets in the universe. And the world map that my teacher stubbornly refused to pull down revealed precisely where the secret treasure was buried. From that time on, the stories kept coming to me, as if from an inexhaustible source. But it wasn’t until I reached adulthood that I finally abandoned a future in physics and mathematics and realised that I had to pursue my true calling." Stefan Ahnhem lives in Stockholm and is an established screenwriter. He has worked in both TV and film, with everything from comedy to thriller and with original ideas as well as adaptations. He also serves on the board of the Swedish Writers Guild. Victim Without a Face is his first novel.
