Krista and Mike were lion shifters who had been childhood friends and started dating shortly after Mike started working as a firefighter. They had been dating for a couple of years when Mike was killed in a fire, and although they always knew they weren't mates, his death devastated Krista. It has been four years since his death and Krista and her lion started to feel ready to find their mate. Nick had moved from his home in California to New York after a misunderstanding with the alpha at the pride he had grown up in. While the situation was not Nick's fault and his apha didn't have any hard feelings,he had asked for permission to leave the pride. After much thought, Blake, the alpha decided to let Nick leave. A couple of months after arriving in New York Nick received a call from a friend back home telling him since he was in New York, he should call Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency. Gerri worked her magic and as soon as the two shifters laid eyes on each other they knew they were destined to be together. What neither of them realized was that someone had followed Nick to New York. A fellow lion shifter who thought Nick was her mate. In order for them to be together, Nick and Krista needed to convince this young lion that she's wrong. If not Krista's life may be on the line. And that's something that Nick will not allow that to happen.

Janet Lee Smith is a 55 year old woman who has been wanting to write books for over 15 years but always put it off. She wrote professionally for the first time in 2006 when she wrote a magazine article for a small local magazine in CT. That was the extent of her professional writing for years, even though writing was her passion. Well, at 51 she decided it's time to stop putting it off and get it done! She was born and raised in New Bedford, MA and although she has considered moving to different states over the years, she's always stayed in her hometown. She has been with her wife for 20 years, and they've been married for 14 years. Their little demon pup, Daime, allows them to live with him. Of course he may change his mind on that at any time. He also occasionally likes to attack Janet's feet at night so she wears slippers to bed every night. Hey, I said he's a demon! They also have a little kitty, Princess Star. Well, Janet calls her Princess. Janet tends to do things later in life than others. For instance she went back to college when she was 38 years old and graduated with her BA in psychology when she was 42 years old. She's been working in helping people in one form or another since then. She currently works from home, which gives her more time to read and write.
