Part of Series

On the road to disaster. Mallory had her billionaire and a cushy job with great benefits. Her perfect life crashes down upon her the night her boyfriend is murdered before her eyes. From that point, everything that defined her is stripped away, and she's left to drown in the rising waters of doubt, post-traumatic stress, and loneliness. Stephen runs to calm his social anxieties. When a graduate student kills herself and two others in his classroom, he runs back home to safety. He has to deal with a classroom filled with adolescents instead of eager grad students, but to keep his mind still, he had to revert to that protective place. When Mallory's shattered world collides with Stephen's need for peace, their vulnerabilities escalate to the point that one or both of them might not survive. The murderers who killed her boyfriend come to finish the job, and the only thing standing in their way is the nerdy professor with social anxiety. The pair's paths join on the road to peace or disaster. Flash Flood is a hard-hitting, emotional psychological thriller with a twist. Heavy themes and mental disorders are addressed like PTSD, social anxiety, sexual assault, and suicide. This is the second book in Kiimbra Swain's Psyche of Disaster series. It is a deviation from her normal fantasy tales, but still has the humor, twists, and epic storyline you'd expect from a Kimbra Swain novel.
