SEASON OF FEAR
It was Christmastime—but unlike any other Dorothy Samson had ever known. The year 1850 was drawing to a close, and Dorothy and her sister, Amy had come to Fog Island to celebrate the holiday season at the great house of Falconcrest.
But there was no spirit of Christmas is the gloomy house. Instead there was the specter of a vengeful woman who wanted company in the grave. Dorothy felt the clutch of terror at her pale young throat, the chill of danger knifing into her palpating heart—and when her treasured sanctuary of love turned into a chamber of horrors, it seemed the only gift she would receive would come from Satan himself…

Island of Evil
Through the mist young Stella Craig could see ever clearer the forbidding bulk of Trent Towers as she approached this ancestral home she had never seen before. But when the maid opened the great front door and stared with startled horror, it was evident that Stella was no stranger here.
Stella's face was that of the woman who had met a hideous death in this lonely place of fog and fear, and whose spirit now walked the night. Stella's heart was besieged by the man who still mourned this mysterious double's death - unless he had been her murderer. And Stella's fate was in the hands of an infernal enemy who turned her mind into a toy of terror and her body into a hunted thing - as this island of the living dead made her its own...

Phantom of Fog Island
1969
IT WAS LIKE A NIGHTMARE...
Anna was alone in the cellar of Adams House, moving through the darkness with only a candle to light her way. A man appeared from the shadows, blocking her path. His skull-like face was pale, the skin taut over his cheekbones. He stretched out a hand, emaciated as a claw, and Anna screamed. The man seized her and, grinning maniacally, hissed, "There are phantoms! No one can help you!"
Anna pulled free and ran through the gloom, suddenly coming upon a familiar veiled figure. "Who are you?" she cried. "What do you want with me?"
The ghostly creature made no reply, but reached up to lift the veil from its face. It was Laura Adams, the late wife of the man Anna loved—a woman who had died a horrible death months before!
