Part of Series

**Note** This book was formerly called The Secret Song of the Ditch Lilies (Part 1). The authors gave it a new cover and title to more accurately reflect the content of the book. Spine-tingling suspense meets sweet romance in this touching and tender story about the power of redemption and second chances. What if the one thing you wanted most was the one thing you could never have? What If you’d done something so terrible that you could never go back? Delia Reynolds has it all—money, social status, a husband that loves her. Then why is she so miserable? Why is she haunted by her past? Delia tries to mold her daughter, Sybil, into her debutante life, but it’s like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Needing a new life, Sybil flees the fast-paced life of Atlanta and takes her daughter to, of all places, Delia’s hometown, nearly sending Delia over the edge. Faced with the trauma of losing her daughter to the place she spent a lifetime trying to escape, Delia is forced to relive the trauma of the past—trauma that began when her younger sister fell for the son of a snake handler. Sybil takes a job at a real estate office and unwittingly becomes entangled in an explosive battle that escalates to murder. She becomes involved in a tempestuous relationship with Kade Langston who’s everything she ever wanted in a man and more. She starts to suspect there may be more to him than meets the eye when one of the partners in the real estate group turns up dead. Will Delia and Sybil get the second chances they so desperately seek, or will the secrets of the past destroy them?

Jennifer loves reading and writing clean romance. She believes that happily ever after is not just for stories. Jennifer enjoys interior design, rollerblading, clogging, jogging, and chocolate. In Jennifer’s opinion there are few ills that can’t be solved with a warm brownie and scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Jennifer grew up in rural Alabama and loved living in a town where “everybody knows everybody.” Her love for writing began as a young teenager when she wrote stories for her high school English teacher to critique. Jennifer has a BA in English and Social Sciences from Brigham Young University Hawaii where she served as Miss BYU Hawaii. Before becoming an author, she worked as the owner and editor of a monthly newspaper named The Senior Times. She now lives in the Rocky Mountains with her family and spends her time writing and doing all of the wonderful things that make up the life of a busy wife and mother.
