Luoghi sperduti e perduti, come Damasco, Aleppo, Palmyra, Mar Musa. Luoghi apparentemente freddi e distanti, invece pieni di quel calore che le foreste di betulle, le vecchie izba e le chiese in legno insieme a quella strana, burbera e sana ospitalità russa svelano sulla strada per arrivare alle Isole Solovki. Luoghi da osservare, da scrutare, per scoprire e riscoprire quel senso della meraviglia che è proprio dei bambini, che è raro negli adulti, che esplode davanti ad un Batman che serve le banane da Tesco, davanti alla natura incontaminata del Canada Orientale o alle pulcinella di mare delle isole Fær Øer. Stefano Turconi is an Italian comics artist, born in Castellanza, Italy in 1974. Turconi studied at the Art Accademy of Brera, the Art School of Castello Sforzesco in Milan, and eventually at the Disney Accademy as a pupil of artist Alessandro Barbucci. Since the late 90's Turconi has illustrated comics for the Disney weekly digest Topolino, as well as other Italian Disney comics magazines. Starting from 2004, Turconi has been involved in an artistic partnership with his wife, comics writer Teresa Radice. Since 2013 Radice and Turconi have published a number of graphic novels, which have received praises in Italy and France. Among their works available in English there are Violette Around the World (Viola Giramondo, Tunué 2013), the Forbidden Harbour (il Porto Proibito, BAO Publishing 2015), Tosca (Dargaud 2017).
Teresa Radice is an Italian comics writer, born in Milan in 1975. In 2002 Radice started working for the Italian Disney magazine Topolino. For almost twenty years she scripted comics featuring such characters as Mickey, Donald, Scrooge, Goofy. Since 2004 Radice has been involved in an artistic partnership with her husband, illustrator Stefano Turconi, also a prolific Italian Disney cartoonist. Since 2013 Radice and Turconi have published a number of graphic novels, which have received praises in Italy and France. Among their works available in English there are Violette Around the World (Viola Giramondo, Tunué 2013), the Forbidden Harbour (il Porto Proibito, BAO Publishing 2015), Tosca (Dargaud 2017).
