***What follows is a small collection of short stories set in the universe of the Traveler’s Gate Trilogy, which begins in the novel House of Blades. If you have not read House of Blades, or its sequel, The Crimson Vault, then you will not understand the stories in this collection.*** In the first story, Gardens of Mist, one man finds out what happens when you trust your senses in the Mist of Asphodel. In the second story, Maelstrom of Stone, an impatient young Ornheim Traveler named Chloe risks her life to rescue an enemy. In the final story, The Steel Labyrinth, a Damascan swordsman named Valin finds himself introduced to Tartarus. ***This collection is intended to give fans of the Traveler's Gate Trilogy a look into the Travelers and Territories that didn't quite make it into the novels.
