For twelve years, Sway has been haunted by the dead. Every few days, a ghost appears into her life, disoriented and unaware that they're dead. And it's her job to break the news to them. Once the ghost accepts they're death, her life can go back to normal. At least for a few days. All that changes, though, the day she meets Dash. Dash isn't a normal ghost. He's funny, charming, and completely aware that he's dead. He also wasn't human when he was alive and knows more about the paranormal world than most, including the legend of The Forest of Shadows and Bones, a place known for being able to bring the dead back to life. But getting there isn't as simple as following a map. Not only is the location hidden, but the forest is filled with deadly magic spells and creatures. And to get there, Dash need's Sway's help. At first Sway is hesitant. But when her older brother, and only remaining family, mysteriously dies, she'll do just about anything to bring him back, even risk her own life and endeavoring into the forest.
