I live on the south coast of England. I write short stories that might include vampires, ghosts, werewolves or the darker side of everyday life. Some stories feature contemporary themes: I enjoy pitting individuals against social and corporate institutions. I've written a thriller, The Russian White, set in Victorian London at the outbreak of hostilities with Russia in 1853. An iconic diamond is missing and Russian spies are everywhere.
