Connie Bailey is a Luddite who can’t live without her computer. She’s an acrophobic who loves to fly, a fault-finding pessimist who, nonetheless, is always surprised when something bad happens, and an antisocialite who loves her friends like family. She’s held a number of jobs in many disparate arenas to put food on the table, but writing is the occupation that feeds her soul. Shay Kincaid calls herself a dreamer; her husband and two children call her crazy, although they are smiling when they do so. Born and raised in southeast Texas, a young Shay would do anything and everything she could to avoid reading until her senior year in high school when her English teacher introduced her to “The Mists of Avalon.” It was then she learned that there was a huge difference between reading because she had to and reading because she wanted to. Romance novels and action-adventure stories were her genres of choice until 2001 when she discovered fan fiction dedicated to one of her favorite actors at the time. Alix lives in the coastal mountains of Northern California with her partner and their dog.
