Every year, Torrian Donnelly attends the community center's Halloween party in his old neighborhood. He's never seen Jazara Crane there. She's beautiful and fun in a sexy kitty costume with a swishing tail, but most of all she's like a ray of sunshine in a gray world. Torrian is drawn to her, and he can't stop going back to where he grew up just to be with her. Even if it means doing volunteer work and having frequent confrontations with his cousin, the man he left behind and who resents him for it.
