After retiring from the Shifter Special Forces, Quinn Maxwell returns to his home in the mountains of North Carolina. There, amidst the mountain terrain, he and his Mastiff find peace at last. After a bad year at work, Lacey St. Claire takes her first vacation in years. Now, if her GPS would stop going crazy, she can just find Maxwell Mountain and settle in. Quinn wasn't planning on renting out his cottage and definitely not to a human female. His intent is to get her off his mountain as quickly as possible. But when Lacey refuses to go, sparks begin to fly.
