From small-town waitress… To royal bride! Since leaving her cheating fiancé, sensible Maddie Nelson is back waiting tables in her hometown. When a gorgeous stranger needs a guide for a few days, she decides to throw caution to the wind, never expecting him to be Prince Edward Alexander of Havenhurst. And he’s in need of a convenient wife! Now Maddie must decide if their powerful connection is enough for her to swap her café…for a crown! “Author Cara Colter hits just the right spot with sweet romance…lots of humor and fun dialogue. I loved it!” — Goodreads on Snowbound with the Single Dad “Wow, this is a story that grabs you from the first moment and no matter what you have calling you it does not let you go. The love story is so much more than romance, the feelings portrayed so realistically and the emotions that are described actually go beyond the words to make you feel them.” — Harlequin Junkie on Soldier, Hero…Husband?

Cara Colter was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, surrounded by ranches, but she was always a reluctant city girl. A journalism graduate, she has been making her living with words for her entire adult life. Before published her first romance novel in 1987, she wrote educational materials, newspaper stories, magazine articles and even sermons! "I am living proof that dreams come true," Cara says. "I am an ordinary person leading an extraordinary life." Now she lives on a small acreage in British Columbia. She shares her life with her personal hero, Rob, a cat and eight horses. She has three grown children, and already is a granmother.
