Those two people were NOT either of our parents, but the holidays have arrived and we're heading home. We can't walk in with a ring on her finger. There would be mutiny. There would be nonstop talk about weddings and babies. The ring is safe in her pocket, but we quickly realize that our parents expect an engagement to happen on Christmas.
