I'm a 2023 HOLT Award Winning Author who's had characters begging me to tell their love story since I was thirteen years old. I'm finally letting them have a voice. I'm a policy analyst by day, because it's extremely important to me that I make a difference in the world with my law degree. I passionately fight for equity for all, especially against institutionalized racism. I was privileged enough to raise a daughter with a multi-ethnic and multi-racial heritage and she has taught me to see the world through the lens of her experience. I am always humbled by her candor and her insight. I always wanted to write but was discouraged from pursuing it as a career because I was a young, single mom. I'm finally pursuing the dream I relegated to the backburner and it fulfills my soul in a way that is beyond explanation. My characters reflect my own experiences of joy and pain and I appreciate you sharing them with me by reading my words.
