Hunt is feeling at odds with his job because of his expanding empire. Hunt decides that it is time for him to get back into the game and decides to start traveling with the men on their missions. Hunt has that opportunity soon after returning to Denver. A crooked mayor, sheriff, and deputies are taking over the entire county and anyone that refuses to sell is killed. Hunt leads his men on another mission of a ranch that was raided. Everyone was shot, and every cow and horse was stolen. Following the cattle herd trail ends in a shootout. Hunt and the men arrest the survivors, and bury the others before riding back, and returning the livestock to the ranch. After sending a young man to prison, the boy’s father, a minister, arrives in Denver begging for his son’s release to attend a seminary and the boy refuses to go.
