Eric. I fell in love with Dee in my teens but I can't tell you exactly when. It seems like I've always loved her but at some point our childhood friendship turned into something else. In college we dated seriously, making plans for a future together. Always strapped for cash, our favorite date was driving up the California coast in my grandfather's 65 Mustang, singing along with the radio. At some point, though, reality crashed our dreams to dust. After being separated for ten years I move back to California to find Dee is back home, too. She's bright, intelligent, and gorgeous just as I remember her but now she's guarded. She's been hurt. My feelings for her are just as strong now as they were ten years ago. I love her. I want her. But can she learn to trust again? Dee. I recognize the 65 Mustang as soon as I see it. I called that car the other woman because she was always a part of our dates. For a more than fifty year old car, she looks great. I'm so busy looking at the car I haven't paid attention to the driver but when Eric gets out of the car I lose my breath. He may be ten years older but he's stunning. Magnificent. He's tall, 6'5", broad shouldered, and walks with the confidence athletes have. And his smile. Oh, my God, his smile. I see him walking towards me and it's as if those ten years apart never happened. I've built my emotional walls to protect myself. I'm proud to have served in the Marine Corps but it wasn't always easy. I've been hurt emotionally as well as physically and I'm not sure I can lower those walls. "I Love You ... Still" is a standalone contemporary romance with a Happy Ever After ending. Trigger Warnings. This book contains some four letter words used in conversation, as is commonly used by many people. There are sexy times and although the sex is not gratuitous, it is a part of the romance story. There is a discussion of past sexual harassment although there is no sexual harassment in the story itself. If these are triggers for you, please do not purchase this book.
