Thirty years prior Ireland and the rest of the Northern hemisphere is ravaged by Tsunami's and with a sea rising due to ice melting in Greenland it has turned Ireland into an archipelago. With the warm Gulfstream a thing of the past the climate is like Northern Canada with only two seasons. Due to all that and the hunger that followed the population was decimated. Nowadays however Iceapelago is managing to survive peacefully but that ends when the de facto leader dies.
