The second in the series, I’m Okay, You’re a Fake, psychic (now psychic detective) Deanna Oscar and her eclectic group of friends both living and dead are back. This time around, Deanna is also joined by her family. All of them; her father, mother and two brothers. With a surprise visit. Yep. And Deanna is so thrilled. Her parents, especially her father, had basically ignored Deanna’s psychic abilities throughout her life and inadvertently made her feel like an outcast. Her parents have also made it clear that they think she is making a mistake by staying in New Orleans and taking over her grandmother’s role of psychic. So, you can see why she is less than ecstatic. In this installment, New Orleans is almost a year out from the devastation of hurricane Katrina. Some people and businesses have returned but things are still hard and people are looking for hope. The Long and Big Easy drag club where Ivy was working is just over a week away from their reopening when the owner, Nemo, is murdered. When Deanna arrives, however, she meets not only the usual police and crime scene investigators, but another psychic.
