Part of Series

He's finally earned her trust; now he's after her heart. From the moment Navy doctor Lt. Karin Scott meets DEA Special Agent TJ Vasquez, she has him pegged for a footloose and fancy-free womanizer. Planning their best friends' wedding doesn't improve her impression—even though TJ claims to be reformed. But when Karin stumbles across a lethal narcotics racket at the San Diego Naval Medical Center—a racket that appears to be connected to the deaths of several local teenagers—Karin has nowhere else to turn. She's forced to confide in TJ. TJ's relieved that Karin's finally reached out to him. Of course, he'll help. TJ has no idea how the overdose deaths of two rich girls are related to the murder a sixteen-year-old homeless prostitute, but he's determined to go undercover to find out. Especially when the woman he's loved for nearly a year draws the attention of the killer. As the danger mounts, Karin is forced to put her trust in TJ's hands. Will she be able to figure out TJ is holding her heart as well before it's too late? In Close Quarters is the second of two Navy-meets-DEA romantic suspense novels.
