The Milky Way has avoided discovery by the aggressive civilization in the giant galaxy M-87, however, it appears that won't last much longer. The enemy has developed technology that allows them to see through the Union's stealth systems and new more lethal warships are being built. To make matters worse, they are focusing on the attacks coming from M-85 and have planned to remove them before focusing on Andromeda. If Andromeda falls, the Milky Way will be next. The Union has not been standing still in developing new technology, however, there are limited numbers of pilots who possess the skills needed to fly the new warship and time is running out. The final confrontation is coming and there's no longer the possibility of hiding from their enemies. Intergalactic war is coming and the allies are still heavily outnumbered.
