The Nov–Dec issue of Interzone, #243, is here, the second in the new print format, with more content, and full colour. It has new novelettes by Jon Wallace, and Jason Sanford, plus stories by China's Chen Qiufan (Ken Liu translates), Caroline M. Yoachim, and Priya Sharma. Ben Baldwin's cover 'The Star' finishes his series for 2012. Interior art is by: Richard Wagner, Warwick Fraser-Coombe, and Martin Hanford. All the usual features are present: Ansible Link by David Langford (news and obits); Mutant Popcorn by Nick Lowe (he reviews Looper, Dredd, Total Recall and more in this issue); Laser Fodder by Tony Lee (DVD/Blu-ray reviews); book reviews by Jim Steel and the team, include an interview with Adam Roberts conducted by Paul Kincaid who reviews his Jack Glass and reviews of new novels from Iain M Banks, Graham Joyce, M John Harrison and several others. Matthew Dent wrote in his review of the issue "Overall, this is a brilliant example of what Interzone does best. Great stories, big ideas, challenging concepts. The fact that it is beautifully displayed, with some breathtaking artwork—particularly Ben Baldwin’s cover art, and Warwick Fraser-Coombe’s illustration for “Mirrorblink” — is just an added bonus." see matthewsdent.wordpress.com/2012/11/24...
