The only way on or off Picture Island is by two-hour ferry ride. The locals know how to get along without outside help, dealing with emergencies as they come. That was before something huge and monstrous crept from the ocean to discover it had a taste for human flesh. This mysterious creature is fast, strong, and seemingly impervious to human defenses. Can the locals stop this incredible beast? Or will they be massacred in the name of a bloody buffet...all to feed a single insatiable hunger.

After the gruesome attack on the remote Picture Island, the locals look to rebuild and recover. Friends and family members are dead, but so is the beast that had wreaked havoc in the night...or so they think. Behind a locked door, the beast has slunk away and has remained out of sight until going on a second, bloodier ramage. The locals see death and destruction return to town and must seek new and braver measures to destroy this otherworldly beast once and for all.

Picking up the pieces after the giant space gator decimated the small town of Ghost Clearing on the semi-remote Picture Island, the locals and all the visitors are far from ready for the chain reaction. Sure, they took care of the gator, but what of the otherworldly DNA seeping into the soil, the water, the bloodstreams? Can the already battered townsfolk survive another attack, an attack from more than one beast?

Still trapped on Picture Island, Mandy, George, Jacy, and a small party of luckless others face off with huge beasts, insects, and an incredible oceanic monster. The goal is to get to the one safe spot on the island and wait for Cohagen's supplies and men, but time now has the massive, territorial creatures getting used to the top of the food chain.
