Kate was delighted when Kamla moved into her street. Now there was someone she could play with. They learned about each other's way of life and got up to all sorts of mischief. One day they were naughty and made potato prints all over Kamla's bedroom wallpaper! And then there was the day Kamla dressed up in her mother's sari and she and Kate rode up beside the May Queen in the Carnival procession.
