Banished to the Cold Top because of her grandmother's deathbed confession, a young woman named Karyn prepares for a life of solitude, sorrowful that her grandmother's soul will be tormented in the Caves of Terr for all eternity. But her life quickly changes when Edwin, a Crigon from the immortal world of Strellia arrives to claim her as his wife, thus fulfilling her grandmother's debt.
