These characters have flaws and real-life issues, but their stories have that element of escapism we all love in a book. When Kelly isn’t writing, she’s much in demand by her six-year-old granddaughter, who insists her grandma can do anything. At the time of writing, she has requested Kelly teach her how to do the splits, juggle, and to play the violin… all of which Kelly has no particular talent for.
