One Night to Fall

2017

Do we choose love? Or is it something decided by fate? To Kinsey McKenna, Patrick Kinney was a persistent glob of sticky peanut butter. He had been stuck to the roof of her mouth, since they were both three years old, when fate seemed to send his family next door to hers. All the way from the coast of Ireland to River Canyon, Connecticut. Over twenty-nine years, fate has been both kind and cruel and many choices have been made. Can things go back to when they were more innocent and magical? Patrick has a plan and just one night to try and take back the reins of his destiny and put the wrong things right with a trip down memory lane. Fall in love again with this novella of firsts and second chances, in a little town where everything meant everything.

To Fall for Winter

2018

From the author of Holly Freakin' Hughes comes a gritty love story about acceptance and the beauty of being different. "You think I'm ready to ruin you forever?" "Oh, Ireland... You've already ruined me forever." I’ve been called the Black Sheep. Troublemaker. And probably a dozen other words that are nowhere near that nice. My past is checkered. Full of questionable choices and even worse outcomes. But I’ve put it behind me. I’m on the straight and narrow now. For two years, I've towed the line. Stayed out of trouble. Kept my head above water. And have not made even one reckless decision. But then Snow came to River Canyon on the first day of winter. Inked, pierced, and unafraid of speaking her mind, and going after what she wants, she made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Together, I knew we would make a mess. I just couldn't keep myself from getting dirty.

Last Chance to Fall

2018

The Kinney Brothers series continues with this love story between two souls who have spent too long playing it safe and are ready to start taking chances. “You look at me like I’m the last woman in the world.” “And what if you are?” While his twin brother was taking risks and making mistakes, Sean Kinney set out to be “the good son,” selling mattresses in River Canyon’s only department store, because well… Nothing is scary about mattresses, is there? After meticulously plotting out his life, Sean never thought a woman could fit into the plan, never thought he could be so reckless with his heart, despite his jealousy toward the love his brothers have found—the women they call home. But when the strikingly beautiful and equally careful Lindsey Molloy walks into his life after setting her mattress on fire, something in his practiced routine shifts. Before he realizes what’s happening, he’s taking risks, taking chances, all for her, and he begins to wonder… Could she be exactly what he needs to break his habits? Could she be his home?

When I was a wee lassie, I was told by my preschool teachers that I was a natural at storytelling. When I was just a little older than that, an old friend's mother said to me, "Kelsey, one day your books are going to be on the shelves at the library." Well, Diane, I don't know if my books are ever going to be on the shelves of libraries, but I'm sure as hell going to try. When I'm not writing stories destined to be bestsellers, I enjoy devouring TV shows, listening to every type of music there is and going to concerts, reading pretty much anything (with a soft spot for romance and certain books located in 18th century Scotland), obsessing over makeup, and pretending to workout. I also have a fondness for cats, my family, tattoos, and a really good French fry.
