It all started with the balloon man. Until the old bag of skin and bones slouched by, Juliet Henry would have rated the upcoming White Oaks Autumn Art Festival and Wine Tasting a fairly average event. But this guy raised the psyche’s hackles. Even without the subtle skeleton face-paint, patchy hair, dusty frock coat and collection of monstrous balloons clutched by his freakishly long fingers, his gauntness would have been painful to look upon. With it, he was the grim reaper made flesh. The balloon man wasn't the only sinister figure at the faire and Juliet was not terribly surprised when death happened during the punkin chunkin. Sheriff Garret needs her help to sort through the hundreds of suspects, but Juliet's efforts to solve the bloody crime are hampered by the appearance of an agent from the NSA. Someone from her old life wants to talk to her and won't take NO! for answer.
