Whiskey Neat

2024

I want a commitment like I want a rash so why can’t I get the bossy twink with pretty lips and plenty of snark out of my head? Anyone who spends time with me knows two things. 1. If I want something I get it, which is how I end up back in my old college haunts, buying a dilapidated bar with my five best friends and staring down the barrel of an unknown future. 2. The idea of settling down makes my skin crawl, and that’s how I made it to forty with zero serious relationships in the rear view mirror. At least I’m smart enough to hire the right people. Enter Salem Barlowe, the prettiest twink who ever twinked and my personal kryptonite. Physically he’s everything I like but our personalities couldn’t be more at odds. I didn’t want to like him with all his sass and acting like he runs the place, but someone tell that to my...Uh, you get what I’m saying. As if my hands aren’t full enough figuring out how to run the town’s only gay bar, my nights are filled with a man younger than me, bossier than me, and definitely prettier than me, and like a finely aged whiskey, Salem should be enjoyed slowly, savoring every complex note. We just have to keep it casual. No problem. I can do casual with my eyes closed. Whiskey Neat is book one in Last Call, a contemporary series set in the New Onyx universe. You can expect the antics and bond of six long time friends, the shenanigans happening at a quirky gay bar, a commitment phobe with a penchant for sweet guys, a bossy twink with mad top energy who doesn’t have a sweet bone in his body (or does he), the eternal f\*ckboi has finally met his match, you can come home again vibes, midlife glow ups, an easter egg or two, and plenty of steam. At Moby’s Bar, there aren’t any rogue white whales to harpoon, but they are serving up plenty of D… Drinks, folks. Come on.

Gin & Sin

2025

Helping him explore his attraction to men was supposed to be no strings fun, not turn me into a whipped puppy dog, but here we are. The college twink scene is wearing on me. Sure, it works out for a no-commitment guy like myself, but the constant drama and faceless rotation of pretty boys in and out of my bed isn’t as exciting as it once was. Maybe watching one of my best friends find love is poking at me too. That’s what was on my mind when someone new walked into Moby’s looking lost, nervous, and definitely biteable. It only seemed right that I offered to keep him company, and when he readily accepted, I was looking forward to trying someone older, mature, and not looking for anything serious. Just like me. He’s inexperienced when it comes to dating men, and I’m more than happy to introduce him to what he’s been missing. What I didn’t expect was the instant addiction I developed to his shy smile, his needy moans, and the way his sweet eyes linger on me. There’s no way one night is gonna be enough. Stewart is smart, sweet, and gorgeous, and like my favorite cocktail, he’s got layers I’m interested in tasting. He’s lived a buttoned-up existence until now, but I think it’s time he tasted a little Gin and Sin. We might be opposites, but hopefully the balance of our relationship will be more sweet than sour. Gin & Sin is book two in Last Call, a contemporary series set in the New Onyx universe. You can expect a guy bored with his current dating options, a handsome, recently divorced professor ready to embrace his sexuality, two opposites attracting, a detached bear turning puppy dog for the right guy, one fell first, the other fell harder, a casual friends with benefits becoming way more, an awesome group of friends, a quirky gay bar setting, and all the steam.

Tall, Dark, & Ginger

2025

My hopeless crush has a plan to get over his ex by getting under me, and I’m up for the task. I’ve been pining for Wren since the minute I laid eyes on the handsome man with the perfect mouth, wounded eyes, and my personal kryptonite, ginger hair. Too bad he was hands off from the beginning, not only because he was our new chef, but he’s been tangled in a failing relationship the whole time I’ve known him. When he finally decides to dump his ex and needs a place to stay, enter me and my big house to the rescue. I want to be respectful, give him time to see me as an option, but one night he offers me an arrangement. My hell, yes. Powered by need for each other, neither of us thought about what would happen next. We’re two guys without a clue, making decisions with the wrong head, but what we have together is too good for either of us to just walk away. Before Wren, I was firmly a beer guy, but now that I’ve tasted the sweet bite of the prettiest ginger ever, there’s no going back. This is one combination that’s never coming off the menu if I can help it. Tall, Dark, & Ginger is book fourin Last Call, a contemporary series set in the New Onyx universe. You can expect a chill guy who’s only down for hookups, a guarded chef trying to find himself again, an impulsive decision that changes everything, a heaping helping of one fell first, the other fell harder, a dash of hurt/comfort with a dollop of sexy shenanigans, plenty of sizzling heat, and all the ingredients for a satisfying comfort dish as two men find themselves navigating the one thing neither expected- love.
