Sometimes you have to be tough with your friends! Lauren's mother has gotten a job at an office, and suddenly Lauren's on her own. At first the extra responsibility is fun—and having a bigger allowance and getting to stay up later helps. And it's a blast having the Sleepover Friends visit. But then things get crazy. Lauren feels like she is always cleaning up after her friends visit. And they don't even seem to notice or appreciate how nice she's being. Is Lauren being too nice? Maybe it's time for a new Lauren.
