In the cutthroat business of network news, thin is in, and Shelly Piper's size-twelve curves relegate her to behind-the-scenes reporting. But even network exec Jack Halloran has image problems. Jack's judged too handsome to handle the real news. So Jack launches his own news show on Denver's public television station and hires Shelly as his coanchor. But while Jack and Shelly work together on down-and-dirty hard news stories, all Shelly can think of is Jack...until the ratings come in. Viewers are demanding a thinner Shelly. Shelly has come too far to lose her job—or a dress size.
