Novela de aventuras ambientada en el Japón de principios del siglo XX en el marco de la guerra librada entre Rusia y Japón en la localidad de Puerto Arturo (actualmente Luyshun). La narración gira en torno a una venganza de honor entre los hermanos Sehima y Sakya hijos del Gran Daimio. Desafortunadamente entre Japón y Rusia se cortan las relaciones diplomáticas y el teniente ruso Boris, tomo la decisión de cortar el vinculo dejando plantada a la hija del Gran Daimio. Desagravio que desemboca en un sin fin de desventuras y venganzas durante la guerra ruso-japonesa.
