Since Little Mouse can't sleep, he is able to hear every noise made outside his house and so turns to Big Mouse for comfort, yet Big Mouse wants to sleep and just wishes that Little Mouse would do the same.

It is a hot sunny day and Big Mouse is digging in the garden. He asks Little Mouse to help, but Little Mouse is busy dreaming. The dream involves daisies, clover and two snowy white feathers. What can it be - and will Big Mouse like it?

When Little Mouse sees big white flakes falling from the sky, he is worried. Goodness me! he cries. The sky is coming undone! With the hope that Big Mouse can stitch the sky together again, Little Mouse makes a ball of white flakes to bring home to him.
