Louella Nelson's novel-writing credits include Amazon Top 2 Historical Romance, Top 3 Western Romance Rye's Reprieve; the best-selling Mail-Order Mate; Emerald Fortune, and others; the literary Amazon best seller “Cora Lee: A Short Story” and others; and poetry as well as scholarly works for the journals Onyx and Calliope. A former magazine editor, she is also published extensively in award-winning nonfiction with articles, features, technical reports, advertising materials, and photography. A former president of Orange County, CA, RWA and coordinator of a past RWA national conference, Louella has conducted successful author promotions and has been a guest on radio and television talk shows. She also has taught seminars at regional and national writers’ gatherings and has taught courses at the University of California—where she received the Distinguished Instructor Award—as well as other major educational institutions. She hosts three year-round professional critique groups, serves as developmental editor for several well-known authors, and teaches a beginning and an intermediate 10-week series on fiction-writing techniques. Many of her students are agented, published, award-winners, and best-selling authors.
